Henry Ford, the American automobile manufacturer in one of his favorite catchphrases says, “Those who walk with God always reach their destination.”
You cannot begin your day, week, and month without acknowledging God for all he does. He is our protector, shield, provider, and guide
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
John 15:7
The word of God lives in us as we stay in his presence always. We must always yearn and spend quality time knowing God for he knows us by name. “Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows,” Luke 12:7. That is the God we serve. That is the God we must yearn to invite into our lives for he is the author and finisher of our faith.
Let us pray
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before your throne of Grace to say thank you for this Day, this week, and the months ahead. Thank you for all you do and continuously do in my life and that of my family. You are a merciful God, a wonderful, counsellor and keeper of my life.
My life is all yours. Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. For even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you are always near. In my sorrow and pain, your rod and your staff comfort me, therefore I fear no evil. Every day in your presence is a new day. I am grateful for the new beginnings that come with each blessed day.
In your presence, there is fullness of joy and at your right hand, there are pleasures evermore. My heart longs for it. Therefore I ask and believe that you will guide me in this day and perfect all that there is to it. Lead me to the cross where your blood washes all my iniquity and cleanse me from all unrighteousness.
Let my faith and hope set in you alone. Rid me of all earthly pleasures that may draw me away from you.
This is the day that you have made and I will rejoice and be glad in it. I will rejoice in you always. Awesome God, help me know you are near. I will not be anxious about anything but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving; I will present my requests to you in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Dearly beloved, God is always near. We are his chosen generation, called forth to show his excellence. Let his peace that transcends all understanding guard your hearts and minds in Christ throughout the day, week, and months. The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.
