Daily Mass Reading for Wednesday, March 12th 2025

As today is Wednesday, March 12, 2025, the Mass readings are as follows:

First Reading: Jonah 3:1-10

In this passage, the Lord commands Jonah to go to Nineveh and proclaim its impending destruction due to their wickedness. The people of Nineveh believe God, proclaim a fast, and repent. Seeing their sincere repentance, God relents from the disaster He had planned.

Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 51:3-4, 12-13, 18-19

Response: A heart contrite and humbled, O God, you will not spurn.

This psalm is a heartfelt plea for mercy and cleansing from sin, expressing a deep desire for a pure heart and steadfast spirit.

Gospel: Luke 11:29-32

In this Gospel passage, Jesus addresses the crowds, calling them an evil generation seeking a sign. He declares that no sign will be given except the sign of Jonah. Just as Jonah was a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son of Man be to this generation.
