Daily Mass Reading for Monday, March 17th 2025

As today is Monday, March 17, 2025, during the Second Week of Lent, the Catholic Mass readings are as follows:

First Reading: Daniel 9:4b-10

In this passage, the prophet Daniel confesses the sins of the people, acknowledging their disobedience to God’s commandments and seeking His mercy and forgiveness.

Responsorial Psalm: Psalm 79:8, 9, 11, 13

Response: “Lord, do not deal with us according to our sins.”

This psalm is a plea for God’s compassion and deliverance, asking Him to forgive the people’s transgressions and to come to their aid in times of distress.

Gospel: Luke 6:36-38

In this passage, Jesus teaches about mercy, judgment, and forgiveness. He instructs His disciples to be merciful as the Father is merciful, to refrain from judging and condemning others, and to forgive so that they too may receive forgiveness
