11. Commitment and Loyalty
Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart.
Proverbs 3:3
- Commit to demonstrating love and faithfulness in your family relationships, remaining steadfast and loyal to one another through all circumstances.
For this reason, a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.

12. Guidance and Wisdom
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Proverbs 3:5-6
- Seek God’s guidance and wisdom in decision-making within your family, praying together and consulting His Word for direction.
Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end, you will be counted among the wise.
Proverbs 19:20
- Remain open to counsel and correction within your family, valuing each other’s insights and growing together in wisdom.
13. Joy and Celebration
The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.
Psalm 118:24
- Cultivate an atmosphere of joy and celebration within your family, rejoicing together in God’s goodness and blessings.
Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, extol him who rides on the clouds; rejoice before him — his name is the Lord.
Psalm 68:4
- Express gratitude and worship as a family, lifting your voices in praise and thanksgiving to God for His faithfulness and provision.
14. Discipline and Guidance
Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
Ephesians 6:4
- Discipline with love and wisdom, providing guidance rooted in biblical principles and modelling a life of faith for your children.
Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them.
Proverbs 13:24
- Exercise discipline with consistency and discernment, correcting behaviour in love and with the intention of nurturing character growth in your children.
15. Faithfulness and Trustworthiness
Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
Luke 16:10
- Cultivate faithfulness and integrity within your family, honouring your commitments and demonstrating reliability in your actions and words.
The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.
Psalm 145:13
- Trust in God’s faithfulness and goodness, anchoring your family’s confidence and security in His unfailing promises and provision.
